Assistant Administrator
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Office in person Las Vegas
Kondler & Associates, CPAs Assistant Administrator, is the first individual that our clients communicate with whether it is in person or by phone. This position requires a self-starter, who can multi tasks in a fast-paced environment, while creating a pleasant working relationship with our clients and staff. This individual will learn the importance of the clients’ call and be able to provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Answering and distributing incoming calls to various departments.
- Co-ordinating mail.
- Processing tax returns.
- Creating tax engagement letters.
- Calling clients to pick up completed tax returns.
- Docu-Signing tax returns to clients and its related follow-up.
- Scanning documents to an electronic file cabinet.
- Assigning new clients identification numbers in various software programs.
- Schedule and co-ordinate client calendar appointments.
- Make copies as requested.
- Assist management with other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal communication skills, organizational and time management skills.
- Proper phone etiquette
- Minimum of 1 -3 years’ work experience preferable in an accounting environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
- Communication with management on job status as assigned.
- Assisting other staff, seniors and management with meeting deadlines and client expectations
Preferred Skills:
- Prior work experience in an accounting field.
- Familiarity with accounting terms and tax documents.
- Bilingual capabilities are a plus.
IRS Resolution and Tax Preparation/Accountant
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Office in person Las Vegas
Kondler & Associates, CPAs IRS Resolution and Tax Preparation/Accountant are the cornerstone of the firm. As a Tax Resolution Specialist, your role is critical to the success of our firm. You serve as the primary point of contact for the IRS and state revenue communications, working to resolve tax issues on behalf of our clients. Your expertise ensures compliance, minimizes liabilities, and provides peace of mind for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
IRS and State Agency Communication
- Serve as the liaison between clients and the IRS or state revenue departments.
- Respond promptly and accurately to tax notices, audits, and other inquiries.
Tax Issue Resolution
- Analyze tax notices and audits to determine appropriate strategies for resolution.
- Resolve issues such as penalty abatements, installment agreements, and Offers in Compromise.
- File back taxes, amended returns, or other documents necessary to bring clients into compliance.
Client Support
- Explain tax issues, resolution options, and progress updates to clients in clear, non-technical terms.
- Provide proactive updates to clients, ensuring they feel informed and supported throughout the resolution process.
Compliance and Research
- Stay current with federal and state tax laws to provide accurate and effective resolutions.
- Ensure all filings and communications are compliant with applicable regulations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all communications and case activities.
Qualifications:
- Active EA or CPA license (required).
- At least 3 years of experience in IRS resolution, tax preparation, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of federal tax laws and IRS procedures.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g. Lacerte) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks, financial statements and tax returns
- Communicating with management on job status and client issues
- Meeting and exceeding management expectations on assigned engagements
- Offering suggestions to improve firm established policies and procedures.
- Obtain information and clarify questions with clients
- Self-improvement – CPE, continued professional training, Keeping up with current standards
- Assist other staff, seniors and management with meeting deadlines and client expectations
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing multiple client projects.
- Familiarity with resolving complex tax issues.
- Bilingual capabilities (Spanish or other languages) are a plus.
Senior Tax Preparer/ Accountant
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Office in person Las Vegas
Kondler & Associates, CPAs tax preparer/accountant are the front line of the firm and must present themselves in a professional manner. Our clients include individual tax returns as well as businesses in various industries. They must become familiar with the culture of the firm as well as the tools and resources available. Communication skills are a necessity. Creating a working relationship with the client and bridging communications with the firm is a must. Our firm is looking for an individual who strives to continue to grow within the firm as well as becoming part of a team.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of complex individual tax returns, business returns as well as trust estate returns and tax exemption companies.
- Compliance with federal and state regulations and adherence to our firms’ standards.
- Proper planning and consultation to the client providing guidance on tax planning strategies and optimizing financial outcomes.
- Address client questions and concerns with clarity and professionalism.
- Documenting the clients’ records for future use.
- Create strong client relationships through regular communication.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on tax and accounting matters.
- Collaborate with clients to gather documents for tax preparation.
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations and industry trends.
- Conduct research on complex tax issues and utilize financial software for efficient data entry and report generation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related fields preferred but not required.
- Active EA or CPA designation preferred. Candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum of 3 years of tax preparation and review experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with multi-state tax filings and international tax issues.
- Ability to manage multiple clients’ engagements and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Bilingual capabilities or other languages are a plus.
